The Medical Professionals Health Program (MPHP) has proudly supported the wellness of Maine’s health care professionals by providing monitoring, advocacy, treatment resources, referrals, outreach, and education for more than 35 years.
A program of the Maine Medical Association, the MPHP is overseen by a peer review committee with the mission of supporting health care professionals challenged with substance misuse, mental health issues, and behavioral challenges, as well as stress and burnout.
The MPHP’s professional staff provides confidential and compassionate intake assessments, monitoring, support, evaluation and treatment resources/recommendations, advocacy, education, and outreach. We welcome those who are voluntarily seeking help before their license and/or employment is impacted, as well as those who have been referred or mandated by their employer or regulatory Licensing Board.
