The MMA encompasses two cornerstone programs aimed at enhancing health care for Mainers. These programs do this by bolstering the well-being of medical professionals, and by leading, collaborating, and aligning quality improvement initiatives that span the continuum of care.
Medical Professionals Health Program (MPHP)
A program of the Maine Medical Association, the MPHP is overseen by a peer review committee with the mission of supporting health care professionals challenged with substance misuse, mental health issues, and behavioral challenges, as well as stress and burnout.
MMA Center for Quality Improvement (MMA-CQI)
Through strategic partnerships, the MMA-CQI identifies and implements public health initiatives to positively impact health care in Maine.
